So how do you go about finding the ideal hiking trail you may be asking yourself. By taking the time to look at all the trails you will know more of what to expect when you are out hiking and more likely to find the "perfect hiking trail". Here are few guidelines below to give you some idea of what to look out for.
Shoes. Since mountains have an uneven surface you will have to wear cleat-like hiking boots that have spikes and tread marks under them to allow you to have a firm footing over the rugged surface. Shoes like these will prevent you from slipping while mountain hiking.
Rope. The rope is a very important mountain hiking gear and for it you will be using a specialized rope. If you are lead hiking then you will tie the rope to your harness this way you will carry the rope with you as you ascend the mountain. You can place bolts and carabiners into the surface on the mountain in order to tack the rope onto it. This way if you are using a belay device and there is a hiker hiking below you will be able to catch your hiking partner in case of a fall.
On the other hand before you choose the kind of clothing to wear on your adventure try to review the weather forecast first as this can guide you on the clothing you will wear as well as for the length of time and location of your hike. If the weather forecast is good still bring some warm clothes you can never be sure of the weather anyway so it would be much simpler if you prepare. Extra clothes on your space-saving hiking bag may also be good to bring along.
